Adfam is UK based charity organisation with a goal to make life easier for families of drug or alcohol addicts. Here at Adfam, we desire to provide help for persons influenced by someone else's alcohol or drug abuse, and also give them a chance to be a part of a supportive community and to enjoy mental and bodily well being.
Family relationships as well as their mental health are threatened with destruction due to drugs and alcohol use.
We engage family members and caregivers collective participation support to change this course of direction.
What We Appreciate
We talked with family members and frontline laborers As we know that individuals have answers if they have face or confront challenges. So, we use compassion and evidence to inform, encourage and empower persons influenced by a loved one's substance abuse as well as the workers who help them. We aim to provide both groups with resources, knowledge, belief and ways to help themselves, their communities, customers and peers.
We Are Inspired By What Works
The influence of both drug and alcohol abuse on family harmony is intense and diverse. We put lots of care and focus on our work as we tend to use most effective methods for the real world. We accept evidence regardless of how different it might be, paying equal attention to both practical evidence and official research data in order to do this. We listen to our peers, supporters and friends and we base our work on their advice.
We're Committed To Fulfil Our Purpose
Our overall objective is driven by commitment and partnering with organisations which share similar sentiments towards addiction rehabilitation. We are commit to treating families and individuals that suffer the consequences of substance abuse with consideration and honour because we understand that discrimination and disgrace are obstacles to recovery and cause damage. We are going to fight until society accepts drug and alcohol addicts and their families without shaming them.
Who We Work With
Family, friends and caretakers - In order to ensure those affected by another's substance use have a stake in the issue that affect them, we inform and empower them and also amplify their voices.
Frontline Workers - We wanted to ensure the support the experts are convey is compelling and suitable as we construct the confidence, limit and ability of experts.
Leaders- We interact with and influence relevant local and national officials to improve regulations and make sure they get to know about the problems families we work with encounter every day.
